The Preamble:
Light is used here as a metaphor for the source of guidance that leads a seeker to pursue a higher purpose in life. It is also a scientific and spiritual reality that Light, as the building block of the universe, is the source of all creation. Light has the power to dispel the darkness of ignorance, negative thoughts and the illusion of separation. Light inspires the understanding that we are all part of a single whole: we are all connected by One Light and united in a single Circle of love, peace, beauty and harmony.
The Prayer of Light*
O The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful Creator,
Illuminate my heart with your Light, my eyes with Light and ears with Light.
Let there be Light on my right, Light on my left, Light before me, Light behind me.
Light above me, Light below me.
O the Infinite, bestow upon me your loving Light and make Light for me.
Light in my veins, Light in my flesh, Light in my blood, Light in my skin.
O the All Knowing, send down Light to protect my family, my friends and loved ones.
Bring Light to humanity, Light to the universe.
O the Eternal, bring Light in my thoughts, Light in my speech, Light in my actions, Light in my soul.
O the Source of All Peace, remove my shackles and make me Light.
* The Prayer of Light is adapted from a prayer attributed to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and loved by the mystic poet Moulana Jalaluddin Rumi.
Our Action Plan
To help establish centers of learning and action;
To hold training sessions and workshops;
To develop curriculum and activities on prenatal, birthing, parenting and family for adult, youth and children;
To organize creative projects, study tours, retreats and lectures;
To publish and distribute essays, articles, how to manuals,books and videos;
To net-work with individuals and groups with similar goals as our own;
Note: All of the above programs, projects, activities, interactions and exchanges will be carried out locally, regionally and globally,through face to face and online means.
